FAQ
Questions, answered gently
If your question isn't here, Faiza is happy to hear from you directly.
Take your time here — there's no rush. Not at all. Faiza is a Muslim counselor, and her faith shapes her compassion and the way she holds space. Women of every faith and background — including women with no religious affiliation — are warmly welcome, and faith enters the conversation only if you want it to.
Yes, if you wish. Some clients find comfort in exploring tawakkul (trust in Allah), sabr (patience), or self-compassion through an Islamic lens. Others prefer counseling without any religious discussion. Both are equally respected — your preferences guide the work.
Anything that's weighing on you: anxiety and overthinking, emotional overwhelm, relationship and family difficulties, boundaries, self-esteem, life transitions, or making sense of what you feel. You're welcome to bring concerns that aren't on this list too.
That's very common, and it's okay. You can simply start with how life has been feeling lately — what's heavy, what keeps repeating. Words can come later; understanding comes first.
Yes. Faiza offers individual online counseling for adult women who are Georgia residents, held by secure video so you can meet from a private space at home.
The initial 15-minute phone consultation is free. After that, cost depends on your insurance plan — most major plans are accepted. Insurance is verified before scheduling. Your copay or out-of-pocket amount is set by your own policy, so it's worth checking with your insurance carrier as well. For self-pay rates, please contact Faiza for current costs, as pricing can change.
The easiest way is to contact Faiza with your insurance details. She'll verify your coverage before you schedule. Because benefits, deductibles and copayments are set by your own policy, you can also confirm those details directly with your insurance carrier.
No, payment plans aren't available. If cost is a concern, your insurance benefits are worth checking first — Faiza is happy to help you understand them during your free consultation.
If you need to cancel, please let Faiza know at least 24 hours before your session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged a cancellation fee, and the fee may be waived in an emergency — life happens, and Faiza would rather hear from you than not. Please contact Faiza for the current fee amount. This practice is not an emergency service: if you are in crisis or in danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
The Emotional Wellness Group for Women meets Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Contact Sister Faiza to receive the attendance link. No cameras are necessary—this is a faceless group, and participants may use pseudonyms.
What you share stays between you and Faiza, within professional and legal limits. Like every licensed counselor, she may need to act if there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. These limits are explained clearly before counseling begins, and you're welcome to ask questions at any time.
Request a free 15-minute phone consultation. You'll have a chance to ask questions and share what you're looking for, then decide at your own pace whether counseling feels right for you.
